Chase Run Stable, Leesburg Virginia

Here at Chase Run Stable we strive to provide a wonderfull equine experience for all who come.  We want everyone to enjoy horses as much as we do and it is our pleasure to help you learn.  We can work with anybody willing to learn

Barn History

Chase Run Stable celebrated its opening on June 1, 2008.  Chase Run Stable will be running the same program as when it was a part of Spring Valley Ranch but growth has made possible a separation and now will be run under seperate management, exclusively by Jessica and Brandon Raithel.  Spring Valley Ranch has had a variety of equine businesses with different management for about 5 years under the ownership of the Deleonardis family.  Jess began here in the summer of 2007 and business is booming.  The original farm house dates back to the mid 1800's but it has been added to since then.  The current barn now sits on the original barn's foundation and the rock walls are still visible.

Farm Facilities Manager

Brandon Raithel runs the background workings of the farm.  He runs errands, drives the trucks and tractor, answers your phone calls and e-mails, and builds this lovely website you seem to be enjoying so much.  He's still learning to enjoy horses but they are growing on him, with Jess' help.

Barn Manager
Chase Run Stable equine activities are managed by Jessica Raithel.  Jess has been working with horses since she was seven years old. Jess has trained with Olympic level event riders throughout her career and attended Virginia Intermont College.  She has manged farms in Virginia and Texas and trained horses all over the place.  She knows her stuff.  She has even gotten her horse-shy husband up and riding!!

*NEW* Assistant Riding Instructor

Ria grew up riding hunter/jumpers in classic calvary riding style of Gordon Wright and George Morris and foxhunting in Alabama. Along with her travels in the military she instructed children at a very busy, very large hunter/jumper barn in Puerto Rico for two years. Then she groomed, ponied and excercised babies in Laurel, Bowie, and a private racing farm in MD. She was a working student for a Hungarian Warmblood breeder and Dressage rider and gave riding lessons to beginner children both private and group. Then she moved to Florida and groomed and ponied at Tampa Bay Downs along with being a beginner and Intermediate riding instructor as well as trail guide. After that she moved to South Carolina where she gave beginner, intermediate and a bit of high school level intermediate instruction to children and adults. Ria has judged small shows, built jump courses, and done a lot of other activities to help the horse community.  She even trained with Gerald Pack MFH Greenville Hunt club.  Ria is a great addition to the farm and we hope you all get a chance to learn from her vast knowledge.
